Our journey and commitment to clinical excellence
Welcome to Gray's Clinical Training Academy. Discover our story, our passion for healthcare education, and how we empower individuals to confidently build or enhance their clinical skills in a supportive environment.

Our inspiration and unique approach
Gray’s Clinical Training Academy was founded from a genuine passion for healthcare, education, and helping others develop the confidence and practical skills needed to succeed within the healthcare profession.
After many years working within the NHS across a wide range of clinical settings, including Accident & Emergency, Primary Care, Clinical Research, and Clinical Service Management, founder Michelle developed a deep appreciation for the importance of high-quality education, patient safety, and creating supportive learning environments where individuals can thrive.
Throughout her career, Michelle has worked alongside patients and healthcare professionals at every stage of their journey. She recognised that many people entering healthcare, or looking to develop new clinical skills, often feel anxious or overwhelmed when learning practical procedures. She believed there was an opportunity to create something different—an academy that combines professional excellence with encouragement, patience, and genuine real-world clinical experience.
Gray's Clinical Training Academy is more than a training provider; it is a family-led academy built on shared values of compassion, professionalism, integrity, and lifelong learning. Michelle's vision is to create a welcoming environment where every learner feels supported, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
The academy is proudly supported by Michelle's daughters, who each bring their own expertise and passion to its future. Demi will lead the academy's financial management following the completion of her Master's Degree in Financial Risk Management this year, helping to ensure the organisation continues to grow on strong and sustainable foundations.
Michelle's youngest daughter, Abbie, is currently studying Medicine and, upon completing her degree, will play an active role within the academy by supporting the delivery of advanced clinical courses and masterclasses. Together, they share a long-term vision of creating a trusted family-run academy recognised for delivering exceptional clinical education, supporting learners at every stage of their healthcare careers, and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
At Gray's Clinical Training Academy, we believe that great education does more than teach clinical skills—it builds confidence, creates opportunity, and changes lives.

Who benefits from our training?
Gray’s Clinical Training Academy is designed to support a wide range of learners, from individuals taking their very first steps into healthcare to professionals already working within clinical environments who wish to expand or refresh their skills.
Our training is particularly beneficial for those who are new to healthcare and looking to build confidence, gain practical knowledge, or explore a future career within the sector. This may include individuals interested in healthcare assistant roles, aspiring nurses, medical students, carers, support workers, or those seeking to improve their employability through recognised clinical skills training.
At the same time, our courses are equally valuable for healthcare professionals already working in practice who may wish to enhance existing competencies, revisit core skills, or gain additional confidence in procedures such as phlebotomy and specimen collection.
We recognise that every learner starts from a different place.

Confident, capable, and inspired
At Gray’s Clinical Training Academy, our goal is for every learner to leave feeling confident, capable, and inspired.
We understand that learning new clinical skills can feel daunting, particularly for those who are new to healthcare or stepping outside their comfort zone. That is why we place a strong emphasis on creating a supportive, welcoming, and professional learning environment where individuals feel encouraged to ask questions, build confidence, and develop skills at a pace that feels comfortable to them.
More than anything, we want learners to leave our courses feeling reassured in their abilities and proud of what they have achieved. Whether someone is taking their first step into healthcare, developing new competencies, or refreshing existing knowledge, our aim is for them to feel more prepared, more knowledgeable, and more confident moving forward.
We want people to leave with not only an understanding of the theory behind clinical procedures, but also the confidence to apply them effectively and safely in real-world settings.
